Refund Policy
1. General Principles
- Refunds are intended to protect learners in cases where the Course or service cannot reasonably be used as described.
- Our policy is designed to be fair to both learners and instructors while preventing abuse.
2. Refund Window
- You may request a refund for a paid Course within 7 calendar days from the date of purchase ("Refund Window").
- Refund requests submitted after the Refund Window will normally not be approved.
3. Progress Threshold
- To be eligible for a refund under this policy:
- Your Course progress must be less than 10% at the time of your refund request; and
- You must not have downloaded or generated any Course completion certificate or equivalent completion artefact.
- If your progress is 10% or more, or if you have already obtained a certificate, you will normally not be eligible for a refund.
4. Non-Refundable Situations
Except where required by law, we do not provide refunds in the following situations:
- You changed your mind after purchase.
- You decided not to complete the Course.
- You lacked time, lost interest, or your priorities changed.
- You experienced issues related to your own device, software, or internet connectivity.
- You were removed from the Platform due to a serious breach of the Terms of Service or Student Honor Code.
5. Technical Issues and Course Problems
- If you experience significant technical issues or believe the Course description is materially misleading, please contact us promptly at [INSERT CONTACT EMAIL].
- We may, at our discretion, provide a refund, Course credit, or access to an alternative Course, even if strict refund conditions are not fully met.
6. Refunds
Our detailed Refund Policy forms part of these Terms.
We offer a limited refund window of 7 calendar days from the date of purchase, provided that:
- Your Course progress is less than 10% at the time of the refund request; and
- You have not downloaded or generated any Course completion certificate or similar completion artefact.
Except where required by applicable law, refunds are not provided for:
- Change of mind;
- Failure to complete or make use of a Course;
- Lack of time or loss of interest; or
- Removal or suspension resulting from a serious breach of these Terms or the Student Honor Code.
Nothing in these Terms or the Refund Policy limits or excludes any non-waivable rights you may have under the South African Consumer Protection Act or other applicable consumer protection laws.
Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method via our payment provider, subject to their processing times and any applicable third-party fees.
7. Processing of Refunds
- Approved refunds are normally processed back to the original payment method via Paystack.
- Processing times may vary depending on your bank or financial institution. We are not responsible for any delays caused by them.
- Any transaction fees, currency conversion charges, or other third-party charges may be deducted where permitted by law.
8. Course Bundles, Promotions and Discounts
- Where you purchased a bundle or promotional package, refunds may only be available for the bundle as a whole, not individual Courses, unless we decide otherwise at our discretion.
- If a discount was applied, any refund will reflect the discounted price actually paid.
9. Changes to This Refund Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Where required by law, we will provide notice of material changes.
